Vizag: The Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation has emerged as the top performer in property tax collection across Andhra Pradesh for the financial year 2025–26.
According to GVMC Commissioner Ketan Garg, the corporation recorded an impressive achievement by collecting an additional ₹60 crore compared to the previous year. This marks a strong 21% growth, making Vizag a leading city in revenue generation.
State-Level Recognition for Vizag GVMC
For this outstanding performance, GVMC received a prestigious state-level award and certificate of appreciation. The award was presented during a workshop on Solid Waste Management Rules-2026 held at the School of Planning and Architecture Vijayawada.

Along with them, GVMC Deputy Commissioner S Srinivasa Rao was also present at the event.
