The development of Anandapuram Junction in Visakhapatnam has gained momentum as district officials intensified focus on traffic management and road expansion works in the area.
District Collector M. Abhishikth Kishore conducted an on-site inspection at the Anandapuram flower market area along with officials from R&B, National Highways, and Visakhapatnam Metropolitan Region Development Authority.
Discussions on Permanent Traffic Solutions
During the inspection, officials reviewed ongoing traffic issues at Anandapuram Junction and discussed permanent solutions in view of the proposed road expansion works.
Authorities are planning major infrastructure improvements to reduce congestion and improve vehicle movement in one of the busiest junctions connecting Visakhapatnam and the upcoming airport corridor.
Bhogapuram Airport Connectivity in Focus
The government machinery is expediting plans keeping future traffic demands in mind, especially with the upcoming operations at Bhogapuram International Airport.
Officials believe Anandapuram Junction will become a key connectivity point for passengers traveling to and from Bhogapuram Airport.

Earlier, road expansion proposals for Anandapuram were prepared in the presence of Ganta Srinivasa Rao.

After completing the inspection, Collector Abhishikth Kishore reportedly departed towards Bhogapuram Airport to continue reviewing infrastructure connectivity projects.
