Andhra Pradesh Plans Dedicated Pharmacy University
The Government of Andhra Pradesh is planning to establish a dedicated Pharmacy University aimed at strengthening the state’s pharmaceutical, biotech, and life sciences ecosystem.

Four Locations Shortlisted
According to officials, four locations have been shortlisted for the proposed Pharmacy University:
- Visakhapatnam
- Anakapalli
- Amaravati
- Kurnool
The government is currently evaluating the locations before taking a final decision on the establishment of the institution.
Expert Committee to Prepare DPR
Officials stated that an expert committee will soon be appointed to prepare the Detailed Project Report (DPR) and procedural guidelines for the university.
The committee is expected to study infrastructure requirements, academic structure, industry partnerships, and future development plans for the institution.

The proposed Pharmacy University is expected to play a major role in supporting Andhra Pradesh’s growing pharma and biotech industries.
