The Andhra Pradesh Government has directed officials to prepare a comprehensive action plan to develop Vizag into a globally competitive Bay City under the ambitious Visakha Economic Region (VER) initiative. The project aims to accelerate economic growth, tourism development, infrastructure expansion, and investment opportunities across the region.

Bay City Development From Kailasagiri To Bhogapuram
A major highlight of the proposal is the development of a continuous Bay City corridor stretching from Kailasagiri to Bhogapuram.

The government has proposed developing Kailasagiri into a major spiritual and tourism destination.
Plans include:
