Electric Buses To Connect Vizag With Bhogapuram Airport
In a major boost to sustainable transportation and airport connectivity, APSRTC is preparing to operate electric buses between Vizag and the upcoming Bhogapuram International Airport.

20 Electric Buses To Begin Operations In June
According to RTC officials, the first phase of electric bus operations will commence in June with 20 electric buses connecting various parts of Visakhapatnam to Bhogapuram Airport.
These services are expected to offer seamless transportation for travelers heading to the new airport, which is poised to become a major aviation hub in Andhra Pradesh.
Additional Buses Planned In July And August
The electric bus network will be expanded further in the coming months.
RTC plans include:
- 20 electric buses from Gajuwaka Depot
- 20 electric buses from Simhachalam Depot
These buses are expected to begin operations during July and August, significantly expanding public transport connectivity to the airport.
With this expansion, commuters from different parts of Vizag will have easy access to Bhogapuram Airport.
