Bhogapuram International Airport Near Vizag Reaches 98% Completion
A major milestone has been achieved for North Andhra as the upcoming Bhogapuram International Airport near Vizag (Visakhapatnam) is now more than 98% complete. Only final finishing works on the terminal building and Air Traffic Control (ATC) facilities remain before the airport becomes operational.
The airport, officially known as Alluri Sitarama Raju International Airport, is expected to become a key aviation hub for Andhra Pradesh and significantly boost tourism, trade, and investment opportunities in the region.
A New Gateway for Vizag and North Andhra
The new airport is strategically located at Bhogapuram in Vizianagaram district and is designed to handle both domestic and international passenger traffic.
