Vizag Semi Ring Road Project: 102 KM Corridor Planned for Future Expansion
Visakhapatnam is preparing for another major infrastructure transformation with the proposal of a 102 KM Semi Ring Road connecting Rambilli to Bhogapuram. The ambitious project is being planned as part of Vizag’s long-term 50-year urban expansion strategy aimed at supporting future growth, connectivity, and economic development.
The proposed Vizag Semi Ring Road is expected to play a crucial role in reducing congestion inside the city while improving connectivity to upcoming growth zones around Visakhapatnam.
DPR Expected by End of May
According to officials, the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the Vizag Semi Ring Road project is expected to be completed by the end of May. Once finalized, the project will move toward further approvals and implementation stages.
The proposed road network is expected to support future urban development around Visakhapatnam as the city continues expanding rapidly across residential, industrial, tourism, and IT sectors.
Beach Corridor from Vizag to Bhogapuram Airport
Along with the Semi Ring Road project, authorities are also proposing a major Beach Corridor connecting Visakhapatnam city to the upcoming Bhogapuram International Airport.
The beach corridor is expected to become one of the most scenic and important road connectivity projects in Andhra Pradesh, improving tourism access and reducing travel time to the airport.
This development is expected to significantly boost the tourism and real estate sectors around the coastal belt.
Bhogapuram Airport Connectivity Roads
To strengthen connectivity to Bhogapuram International Airport, the government is already developing 7 major connecting roads.

- Roads already completed: 3
- Remaining roads under development: 4
These road projects are aimed at ensuring smooth transportation access between Vizag city, nearby regions, and the upcoming international airport.
