Andhra Pradesh is witnessing a major push toward infrastructure development in remote tribal and agency areas as the Forest Department’s Visakhapatnam Circle cleared 699 development projects during 2024-25 and 2025-26 (till February).
The approved projects involve the diversion of approximately 393.562 hectares of forest land for critical public infrastructure aimed at improving transportation, communication, digital access, and basic public services in remote tribal regions.
